By downloading AppToU, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

When you create a profile on AppToU, your information will be visible to users of our AppToU mobile application. You may opt out of this feature in your Settings tab.

If you are under the age of 18, you may not download or use AppToU. We do not knowingly collect or maintain information from children under age 13.

This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") explains how information is collected, used and disclosed by AppToU.
As part of our mission, we want you to share the things that matter to you most with your friends, family and anyone else around you. It’s important to us that you feel comfortable and trust us with your information when you use the AppToU services (the "Services"). Please take a few minutes to read this Privacy Policy, so that you understand what information we collect, what we do with it and why.

In general, we only collect information that allows us to provide you with our best Services. This includes, for example, simple tasks like allowing other users to see the name and picture you choose to show. It also helps us to keep our Services clear of fraud and Spam, and it allows us to get a unique understanding of what additional services may be useful to you, and all other purposes set out in this policy below.

Scope and consent

Before you start sharing AppToU, it’s important you understand that by using our Services, you give us consent to collect, use, disclose, and retain your personal information and other information but we will never read or listen to the content you are sharing privately. You can be sure that we will only use your information as described in this Policy.

By using the Service, you are also agreeing to our Terms of Use. Please make sure you read and agree with our Terms of Use if you want to use AppToU.

Information you share

First of all, we want you to be assured that we do not read the content of your messages made privately via AppToU but we store those messages once they have been delivered to their destination (which by average takes less than one second).

Note that chats with Accounts are not end-to-end encrypted, but we do encrypt such messages when sent to the AppToU servers and when sent from the AppToU servers to the third party (the Account owner and/or additional third party tool (e.g. CRM solution) integrated by such owner).

We collect different types of information about you and your activities. We collect information when you register, log into, and use AppToU, including the features you use, the pages and screens you visit, and the information you enter, such as chats. All information collected in any way is referred to collectively in this Policy as "Information". All Information is currently processed and stored on our servers, on a content distribution network. The specific examples in the following bullets are not meant to be exhaustive.

We get and record information from your device, including your mobile device identification (ADID, device ID, etc.), IP address, cookie and beacon information, and geographic location.
We collect information about the features you use, the pages and screens you visit, and your transactions with us and with our partners, vendors, and advertisers, including information about your use of products offered through AppToU. We and our third-party partners (such as advertising and infrastructure partners) may access your chats and postings. We do this to improve your experience on AppToU, to target ads, and for safety and law enforcement purposes.
Third Parties. When you download or register for AppToU by or through a third party platform we may also access and/or collect certain information from your third party platform account or by cookies placed on your device by such third party site. For example, if you create your AppToU account using Facebook, we may use the following information from Facebook to establish your AppToU account: your email address, hometown, gender, profile photo, date of birth, friends list and userID. If you want us to delete the data we receive from a third party platform about you, please submit a request to apptou.app@gmail.com.
Advertisers. As part of value added services provided by us or by a third party within AppToU, we may use your information to continuously optimize and personalize those services and send you personal messages about new offerings which we believe you will find relevant.
Sending a message to your Account, subscribing your Account or following a Public Chat on AppToU will allow admins of that Account to send you notifications and personal messages. If you do not wish to receive such notifications, you may adjust your account settings to decline them or opt-out at any time from receiving further notifications. We may also use WPS location data to provide location-based offerings to you from our Service or third-party advertising. You will be asked to allow the use of your location data before AppToU provides such offerings, and you may also adjust your account preferences to disable the use of your location data at any time.
We may also collect information about you from other sources, such as blogs and instant messaging services, and other users of AppToU.

Social Media

As indicated above, we may provide you with the option to connect your AppToU account to your account on a social networking site for the purpose of logging in, uploading information or enabling certain features on the Service. By connecting your AppToU account to your account on any social networking site, you consent to the continuous release of information about you from the social networking site to AppToU while the accounts remain connected. For example, If you sign in to your Account through third-party social media sites like Facebook or Twitter, you agree to give us on-going access to your personal information on such sites (e.g., your public profile, friend list, accounts you follow or who follow you, your email address, birthday, work history, education history, interests and current city). We may receive certain information about you which is stored on social media sites if users of those sites give us access to their profiles and you are one of their friends or connections, depending upon your settings on those sites.

Information You Share Publicly

Some of our Services allow you to share information with others on a public basis. If you post information on a public feature of our Services or through social media sites, plug-ins or other applications, don’t forget this information is public on our Services and, depending upon your privacy settings, may also become public on the Internet. We can’t prevent or control further use of this information so please make sure you only post information that you’re happy to be seen publicly. We may also further use such public information you share, for various reasons, such as improving our service and providing you with relevant content, and analyzing trends.

You can control what data you share through privacy settings available on some social media sites. Please refer to those third-party sites’ privacy policies and terms of use to learn more about their privacy practices, as we don’t control these.

At this stage, whatever you share publicly can be available to the entire community. If you wish to remove a certain piece of content you have shared in the past, you can do that by deleting that content. It will be removed from our services but may remain on local devices of some users (assuming they have chosen to save it).

Chat

We collect the following information when you use AppToU’s chat feature: the text of your chat session, any pictures you’ve shared in the chat session and a timestamp. We and our third-party partners (such as advertising and infrastructure partners) may access your chats. We do this to improve your experience on AppToU, for advertising purposes, and for safety and law enforcement purposes.

Location Information

In addition to the geographic Information collected when you log in, we automatically receive an approximation of your geographic location when you use AppToU. When you use AppToU on a mobile device, you can allow AppToU to receive your more precise location by enabling or disabling location services through your mobile device settings. In addition, as with most location-enabled applications, we and our third-party partners may access your location any time your device is on, whether or not you are logged-in to AppToU.

Share Your Information

We may share Information as follows:

with in-app advertisers or advertising networks for the purpose of providing advertising to you within AppToU or advertising AppToU in other locations;
with analytics providers for the purpose of analyzing user data;
with service providers who are working with us in connection with the operation of our site or our services;
anonymous or aggregate data with third parties for industry analysis, demographic profiling and other similar purposes;
when you give us your consent to do so;
when we believe in good faith that we are lawfully authorized or required to do so or that doing so is reasonably necessary or appropriate to comply with the law or legal processes or respond to lawful requests or legal authorities, including responding to lawful subpoenas, warrants or court orders;
to enforce or apply our privacy policy, our terms of use or our other policies or agreements;
to protect the rights, property, or safety of AppToU, our users, or others; and
in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing or acquisition, or in any other situation where personal information may be disclosed or transferred as one of our business assets. We will require any such business entity to honor the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Information you share with others

A main purpose of using AppToU is to meet and interact with new people. The information you enter in your profile, are visible to all AppToU users within your age category.

While using AppToU services, we will collect, and other users can see, your connection status; if you don’t want people to know that you’re online or that you’ve seen messages, you can change these options in your settings.

Any text and images (will be added in the future) you send to a chat recipient will be visible to that recipient. AppToU also has "backstage pics," which are pictures posted by a user on his or her profile. Our policy is to review all public pictures. If the picture is rejected, that picture or link will not be published.

Platforms

In the course of providing our Service on third party platforms, such as Apple’s App Store or the Google Play Store, the platforms may collect Information about you or receive Information from us in order for the platform to provide or analyze their services. Please note that these platforms were developed and administered by people or companies not affiliated with or controlled by AppToU and that AppToU is not responsible for the actions of those people or companies. You should carefully review the terms of use and privacy policies of the platforms that you use to access our Service.

How Do We Use the Information We Collect?

We may use Information for the following purposes:

to administer our mobile applications and websites and provide our services or information you request;
to process and complete any transactions;
to promote AppToU in general;
to provide you with advertising and marketing;
to identify your general location to other AppToU users, if you choose to enable this feature;
to respond to your questions, comments, requests, and complaints and provide customer service;
to monitor and analyze user behavior and trends;
to track visitor movement and activity in the aggregate (for example, to give us information about what parts of the websites users are visiting);
to personalize and improve AppToU products and features and your experiences when you use AppToU, such as providing content or features that match your profile, location or interests;
to send you confirmations, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages and otherwise facilitate your use of, and our administration and operation of, our services;
help prevent fraud or other misuse;
to connect with your friends (when instructed by you); and
for any other stated purpose for which the Information was collected.

We will receive other information (e.g. the content you have viewed and interacted with) from your use of our Services. When you interact with Accounts on our Service, we may obtain information about the messages you have liked, comments you have left and also websites you’ve viewed through links from a the Account. In addition, we collect information about the Accounts you have visited and the content you have viewed in order to improve the relevance of our Services.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

When you visit the App, we and our business partners may use cookies and other tracking technologies for a variety of purposes. These help to enhance your online experience, for example, by remembering your log-in status and viewing preferences from a previous use of our App when you return later. If you block cookies and tracking technologies you may not be able to access certain portions of our App.

Here are a few additional important things you should know about our use of tracking technologies (e.g., cookies, HTML-5 stored technologies):

We ask for your prior consent to use cookies and tracking technologies policies when you join the App
We offer certain features that are available only through the use of tracking technologies.
We use both session and persistent tracking technologies. Tracking technologies (e.g., cookies) can either be persistent (i.e. they remain on your device until you delete them) or temporary (i.e. they last only until you exit the App). You are always free to decline tracking technologies if your browser permits, although doing so may interfere with your use of the App. We suggest you refer to the help section of your installed applications for instructions on blocking, deleting, or disabling tracking technologies such as cookies.
We encode and protect the tracking technologies that AppToU sets so that only we can interpret the information stored in them.
You may come across tracking technologies/cookies from our third-party service providers that we have allowed on our App to assist us with various aspects of our App operations and services, such as Google Analytics.
You also may encounter tracking technologies from third-parties on certain pages of websites that we do not control and have not authorized. (For example, if you view a web page created by another user, there may be a cookie placed by that web page.)

Links to Other Sites

AppToU may contain links to other sites and apps, including in advertisements. Any information you provide on those sites is provided directly to the owner of that site and is subject to that party's privacy policy. Our privacy policy does not apply to such sites, and we are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of those sites.

Security

We know that security is important to our users and we care about the security of your information. We maintain technical, physical, and administrative security measures to protect the security of your personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration. Some of the safeguards we use include firewalls, data encryption, physical access controls to our data centers and information access authorization controls. We need your help too: it is your responsibility to make sure that your personal information is accurate and that your password(s) and account registration information are secure and not shared with third-parties.

Accessing and Modifying Your Information

If you have an account, you can access and modify certain Information that you provided to us that is associated with your account by logging in and editing your profile information on AppToU. As a registered member, you can review and change personal information at any time by accessing your account on the App. Please be sure to update your personal information promptly if it changes or becomes inaccurate. We may retain some information from closed accounts so that we can comply with law, prevent fraud, assist with investigations, resolve disputes, analyze, or troubleshoot programs, enforce our Terms of Use, or take other actions permitted by law. Likewise, if your account or membership is terminated or suspended, we may maintain some information to prevent you from re-registering.

Deactivating or Deleting Account Information

You can deactivate your account by selecting the "deactivate" link. Deactivating your account lets you remove your profile without permanently deleting it. When you deactivate your account, other users will no longer see your profile or Information. We reserve the right, but are not required, to permanently delete your Information if you do not reactivate your account within 60 days of deactivation.

International Users

If you are located outside Israel, please note that we may transfer your Information to Israel (or any other country in which we operate) and process it there. By using AppToU, you consent to the collection, transfer, use, storage and disclosure of your Information as described in this Policy.

Our Policy Toward Children

Our service is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal Information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal Information of a child under 18, we will take steps to delete such Information from our files as soon as possible.

Changes to the Policy

From time to time, as our services evolve, we may update this Policy. You agree that we may notify you about material changes in the way we treat personal information by placing a notice on the App. Please check the App frequently for updates.
